They are essential for professionals in ventilation and industrial hygiene to optimize air quality and efficiency in various confined and open environments.

 

Measuring Principle:

Digital anemometers, such as the common vane type, measure air speed by converting the rotational energy of a fan or impeller directly impacted by the airflow into an electrical pulse frequency via a sensor like a Hall effect sensor, which the circuitry then calculates and displays as air velocity or flow rate. Alternatively, hot-wire anemometers measure the cooling effect of airflow on a heated sensor element to determine velocity.
