Digital clamp meters are versatile tools used across various industries for non-contact measurement of AC/DC current in wires, making them ideal for troubleshooting electrical systems, motor diagnostics, and verifying load balances in commercial and residential settings. They allow technicians to safely and quickly test high current levels without interrupting the circuit
The measuring principle of a digital clamp meter depends on its type: AC-only models use electromagnetic induction (current transformer effect) to measure current flow, while AC/DC models (Hall Effect) measure the strength of the magnetic field surrounding the conductor. Both methods allow for non-contact and safe current measurement without breaking the circuit.
